Appointment of Officers Petition

To the House of Representatives.

We the undersigned request the House to;

1. Take a bipartisan approach in selecting the Families, Children's Commissioners and Social Worker Registration Board appointments.
    
2. That these appointments be made by the Social Services Select or such like committee with cross-party support and agreement.
    
3. Those candidates recommended for the positions are selected reviewed, then responsible to all of Parliament as a whole via the committees, as apposed to only being picked by the Minister and Government of the day, as currently happens.
    
4. Notification of possible candidate to be published prior to final consideration for objections.
